In the app
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately. Open MakroFit, go to Profile, scroll to Delete account, and confirm. Deletion is irreversible and there is no recovery period — the account and its data are gone once you confirm.
Without the app
If you have uninstalled MakroFit or cannot sign in, email info@ma-swengineering.com from the address you signed up with, asking us to delete your account. Sending it from that address is what lets us match the request to an account; if you write from a different address we will have to ask you for something else that verifies it.
We act on the request within 30 days and confirm by email once it is done.
What gets deleted
Deleting the account removes it together with the data linked to it:
- your profile and onboarding details — age, biological sex used for the metabolic formula, height, weight and goal;
- your nutrition goals and their history;
- your food log, including individual entry components;
- your weight history;
- your notification preferences;
- your fasting sessions and fasting plans; and
- any AI estimate reports you submitted.
Deleting the account from within the app additionally erases that account's data stored on the device itself: its local food entries, including any not yet synchronised, its cached activity data, and its record of the health-platform connection. Data belonging to other accounts on the same device is left untouched.
What is kept, and for how long
Two things do not disappear at the moment of deletion:
- Provider backups. Our database provider keeps rolling backups for operational recovery. A residual copy of deleted data can persist in those backups until they age out; it is not restored into the live service.
- Data we must retain by law. Where a legal obligation requires us to keep specific records, we keep those and nothing further.
MakroFit's shared AI text cache stores normalized queries without a user identifier, so account deletion cannot automatically locate an entry derived from your query. If you believe a cached query contains personal data, tell us and we will deal with it individually.
Deleting the app is not deleting the account
Uninstalling MakroFit removes it from your device but leaves the server-side account intact. Use one of the two routes above if you want the account itself gone.
Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights you have under the GDPR — access, rectification, restriction, portability and objection are set out in the Privacy Policy, section 12, along with how to complain to a supervisory authority.
